Something clever I'll change later

I like fantasy. The end.
Black Sun Rising - C.S. Friedman The prologue was absolutely the best part of this book, but over the course of a few hundred pages any excitement I felt had been whittled down to nothing. There is SO MUCH repetition, it really started to grate on me. The magic system started out awesome and terrifying, but by the end (with a really terrible villain reveal, by the way) you've been so bashed over the head with the concepts of the magic that it loses any appeal it had.
