Something clever I'll change later

I like fantasy. The end.
Childhood's End - Arthur C. Clarke I'm not sure I got it. Loved the first half, but not so much the second. I know that, as far as my own history goes, anytime something starts as sci-fi but becomes bizarrely paranormal instead, it will almost always end with me disappointed. I don't like paranormal in my sci-fi, keep it out.
